Accessibility Statement

ESO wants everyone to be able to use our website and take part in our courses, including disabled people and people with learning difficulties.

Commitment to Accessibility

WCAG 2.2 AA digital standards, Equality Act 2010 adjustments, and venue provisions.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This means, for example, that you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen,
  • navigate the site using just a keyboard,
  • use a screen reader,
  • read text with good colour contrast.

We continuously audit our digital platforms to ensure full accessibility. There are currently no known accessibility barriers across our website.

This statement was prepared in September 2026 based on a comprehensive internal self-assessment.

We make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010. Examples include extra time, a reader or scribe, coloured overlays, large-print materials, or a different room. Adjustments to assessments must be approved by our awarding organisation, Laser Trident, before the course, so please tell us about your needs as early as possible when you book.

Our learner portal (moodle-eso.com) works with screen readers and on mobile devices.

Our training venues are equipped with step-free ground level access, accessible restrooms, designated parking spaces, and assistive listening systems upon request.

If you have difficulty using our website, need information in a different format, or want to discuss adjustments for a course, contact Simon Owen on 0800 144 8458 or at simonowen@esotrainingnw.co.uk. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

If you are not happy with our response, you can use our Complaints Procedure. You can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
